It’s spring! And for many people, that means planting a garden. Even if you don’t have room outside for a garden you can always plant in containers on your back porch. There a lot of fun gardening ideas to do with your preschoolers. You can grow sunflowers, mini pumpkins, or even plant a pizza garden (plant tomatoes, peppers, and basil, etc). Preschoolers love to dig in the dirt, plant seeds, water and eat the harvest.
Here are some books to get you started:
by Henry Cole. A very simple story about Jack in the fashion of “This is the House that Jack Built.”
The Carrot Seed by Ruth Krauss. A small boy plants a seed and grows a big surprise.
The Tiny Seed
